At the moment,the town of Ughelli is fast taking a new look in respect to cleanliness. No doubt,we once had towns in Delta-State where anything goes. Dirts in Market places, uncleared drainages leading to blockage and stagnant waters smelling and breeding mosquitoes and their likes.

But today,the story has changed.As Olorogun Jaro Egbo Ksc the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area has reawakened the consciousness of cleanliness around homes, market places,offices and street sweeping in the town. The man has changed the narrative,by reintroducing the serious culture of environmental sanitation in Ughelli. Interestingly,he always make himself available for proper supervision of the exercise. 

With the rate he is going,the city of Ughelli will soon become the cleanest town in Delta-State. Cleanliness they say is nearest to Godliness,so I wish to congratulates Ughelli people for being closer to the Almighty God,as the Chairman has taken their interest paramount in that regard.

In a significant political development, Ughelli North Local Government Legislators, led by Rt. Hon. Okeoghene Prosper Ajero has announced their decision to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a plenary help today, 13th May, 2025. At the legislative arm complex Ughelli.      The law makers formerly defected from PDP to APC to align with the local government council Chairman, MORE Agenda policy of Governor Oborevweri's and the RENEWED Hope Agenda policy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR , sequel to a motion moved by the majority leader, Hon.
