Ughelli North Council Boss, Olorogun Jaro Egbo Enforces State Environmental Sanitation Exercise In Ughelli North LGA.

UGHELLI NORTH COUNCIL BOSS, OLOROGUN JARO EGBO ENFORCES STATE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE IN UGHELLI NORTH LGA..

.. Sent monitoring team to Uwheru Kingdom to ensure compliance, promised to collaborate with the community to ensure a sustainable Environment..

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Movudu Egbo Ksc, today, being the last Saturday of the month, enforced the state environmental sanitation exercise in Ughelli North LGA to maintain a clean, safe, and flood-free environment.

The Council Boss, who delegated several teams of Environmental Marshals to monitor the exercise in the Ughelli urban metropolis, also sent a Special Team to Uwheru Kingdom to ensure total compliance. The delegation was led by his Chief of Staff, Prince Elvis Oharisi JP.

At Uwheru, the delegation Team observed that several drainage systems were blocked, causing flooding in the community, sand covering major parts of the Tarred road, and people building along the road, which are causing obstruction and flows of water.

Briefing the press, Prince Elvis Oharisi said that the purpose of their visit to Uwheru today was to know the level of their compliance with environmental sanitation exercises and to also know the area where the council can come in and support them to avert flooding.

..We have driven through the whole community and observed some blocked drainages, people building on the road, and some road parts covered with sand, among others."..

..We have instructed the Environmental Health Department of the Council to formally write to those who built along the road and are causing obstruction to remove their illegal structures from the road or the Council will do the needful, we will partner with the community leaders and stakeholders to ensure that the drainages are cleared and channelled appropriately" Chief Elvis added

The Chief of Staff to the Council Boss, assured the community leaders and Youths of the Council's commitment and readiness in maintaining a clean, safe and peaceful environment for all, advising the youths to avoid violence and crisis and embrace peaceful coexistence among themselves, urging them to channel any unresolved grievances to the appropriate authority and never take laws into their hands.

The community Leaders through a high-profile Opinion Leader, Bishop Muoghereh rtd, and the Leadership of the Uwheru Descendants Union (UDU), expressed sincere thanks to the Executive Chairman, Olorogun Jaro Egbo for the impactful leadership and for having Uwheru kingdom at heart always, they commended the council boss for the proactive measures he has taken in maintaining peace in the kingdom, promising to continue supporting his administration to succeed and advance Ughelli North Local Government Area.

Similarly, the Youths of Uwheru also praised the Council Boss for upholding the suspension of their former president, General, adding that since his suspension, Uwheru Kingdom has continued to enjoy peace, they pledged their total support for the Olorogun Jaro Egbo-led administration.
