Olorogun Jaro Egbo Received The Leadership Of Association Of Landlords And Tenants Union, Ekredjebor-Ughelli On A Courtesy Visit.....

The Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Council, Olorogun (Barr) Jaro Movudu Egbo Ksc, received the Leadership of the Association of Landlords and Tenants Union of Erakahwewe Street in Ekredjebor community Ughelli. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the group, Mr Awo Miuweme.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Eric Okunima said that the visit aims to congratulate the council Chairman and his team on their remarkable achievements in their first year in office. He made some urgent requests to the chairman regarding the development of their community.
Okunima commended the Council Chairman for his transformational leadership and his impactful projects he has initiated within the past year, assuring the Chairman of the group's commitment to support his programs and activities for his remaining years in office.
The group raised some major issues affecting the community, which prompted their visit, explaining that the Erakahwewe street in Ekredjebor is one of the longest streets in the community, housing over 300 housing units and leading to the Ekredjebor Secondary School.
Mr Eric Okunima appealed to the Council Chairman to use his good office to help them construct a drainage system, which will help to evacuate the water to the river. Meanwhile, they were particular about the entrance of their street being fixed, which is in a deplorable state.
He also solicited the provision of a transformer and street lights to enhance visibility and effective security at night. He concluded by calling on the attention of the Council Chairman to the activities of some business owners along the Ekredjebor road by Redeem Christian Church and Kul-Up junction, which have contributed to the flooding in the area whenever it rains, seeking the Council's intervention.
Responding, Barr Jaro Egbo commended the group for the visit, stressing the need for collaborative efforts between the government and relevant stakeholders for the provision of some projects of common good, thanking the group for having the interest of their people at heart, and soliciting for social amenities that will be beneficial to all.
The Council Chairman ordered the immediate repairs of the failed portion of the street junction, adding that he will continue to serve the people with utmost humility and respond to their immediate needs.
He promised to look critically into the various issues brought before him, assuring the group of the council's commitment to solving their challenges at the appropriate time.
...As a Government we will continue to do our best for our people, we will conduct an assessment on the aforementioned areas, and if any business operator in the area are found guilty of causing environmental hazard with their activities, the council will swing into action by serving them notices and then do a follow up until they do the needful '. The chairman stated.
The Council Boss, thanked the group once again for being partners in progress, calling for more collaboration and support for his administration
