The *Women for 35% Initiative*, powered by the AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation (AMEF), is delighted to announce the appointment of *Amb. Nkeiruka Patience Okereke* as the *National Director for Women’s Political Participation*.

Ambassador Nkeiruka is a celebrated advocate for civic inclusion and women’s leadership across Nigeria. With her exceptional background as:

* Secretary General of the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), Kano Diocese
* Women Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Women’s Wing across Northern Nigeria
* Charter President of Rotary Club of Sabon Gari, Kano
* Convener of *Women in Politics: Voice for All Women*

She brings decades of experience in political advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and strategic civic engagement.

In this new role, Amb. Nkeiruka will:

✅ Lead advocacy campaigns demanding 35% women’s representation in elective and appointive offices
✅ Train and equip female candidates across all levels of governance
✅ Lobby policy makers and stakeholders for gender-responsive political reforms
