Ughelli North Legislators Defected To APC, Backed The Council Chairman And More & Renew Hope Agenda.

In a significant political development, Ughelli North Local Government Legislators, led by Rt. Hon. Okeoghene Prosper Ajero has announced their decision to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a plenary help today, 13th May, 2025. At the legislative arm complex Ughelli.

     The law makers formerly defected from PDP to APC to align with the local government council Chairman, MORE Agenda policy of Governor Oborevweri's and the RENEWED Hope Agenda policy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR , sequel to a motion moved by the majority leader, Hon. Ese Agbobore, seconded by Hon. Collins Oghenebrorie Ariakpore and consented by members present during the plenary.

       According to the leader of the 8th Assembly, the motion was unanimously adopted by the law makers, reiterating their unwavering commitment to a unified vision for the local government's development.

       This initiative marks a new chapter in the political history in the Ughelli North Local Government Council, stating that the legislative arm's decision aimed to enhance collaboration and progress, ultimately benefiting the local government council.
